The musical fairy tale "The Spinning of Time"
"The spinner is spinning, the thread is spinning.
The thread is the Life that is once given..."
The St. Petersburg Chamber Theater "TOK" and singer Usta created a unique musical tale "The Spinning Wheel of Time" filled with ancient folk rituals and incantations.

Clear as a brook voice and bewitching with its sounding psaltery. Amazing tales about the universe and Slavic ritual female rites that spin the spinning wheel of life. From year to year. From century to century.

This is how the critic writes about the performance:

"THE POWER OF WORDS IS THE POWER OF CURRENT
Have you admired the goodness of the mustard seed, trusted the folkloric sourdough, spoken to fate in the bird's language! If you are still interested in hearing the sound of the silenced divine speech, you should definitely appreciate the performance-tale "The Spinning Wheel of Time". Directed by Ekaterina Maximova. Songwriter and performer - singer Usta.

If you feel resistance to folklore, then, most likely, you lose conductivity, the spirit and power of folk stops passing through you. Like any insulating material designed to create obstacles to the passage of current, you also lose the ability to transmit the energy of love when you stop turning to folk traditions.

My opinion: a very timely and modern play that casts away any doubt about the power of the Russian language and the might of the Russian people, about the continuous feat of Russian women who, like tricksters, help in maturation and initiation."
